Half Hour Pudding
Mix:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- salt
- 1 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup milk
Put in greased pudding dish
2nd mixture:
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Mix together until sugar is dissolved, pour over batter in dish and bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes.

This is a quick dessert that was introduced to me while I was living in Nova Scotia, interestingly, it was from a cookbook produced locally where I found the recipe.
This forms a pudding and sauce all in the same bowl and resembles a sticky toffee pudding, however it may take more than 25 minutes to bake in order to achieve a cackier pudding with a decently thick sauce. (the above took about 45 minutes in the oven and 350F)
