Ginger Cookies
- 2 cups cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons crisco (shortening)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
Mix crisco, salt, ginger, and molasses with a little flour; add the soda dissolved in water, and the rest of the flour, then work all together. Roll out 1/4 inch thick, and cut with a plain cutter. Bake on greased pans about one inch apart in an oven at a temperature of 375F.
